The Bucknell Show 2014 was a fantastic day, with all the traditional favourites of Raffles, Children’s games and WI Teas we also had a healthy dose of stall holders, live music and Fire Walking!
Our Fire Walking event raised over £2,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance!

Live Music at The 2014 Bucknell Show
Music was provided at the show by many great local talents, from acoustic singer songwriters to a full 9 piece Blues and Soul Band, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
We have received great feedback from those who attended the show, who upon hearing the pleasant sounds drifting across the playing fields were led towards the tent (conveniently located near the bar) and were compelled to stay for the night!
Special thanks go to all of those that performed, in particular the band ‘Red Sea Experiment’ who experienced a slight dip in electrical power from the generator, but carried on entertaining the crowd regardless!
As things got back up and running, they were followed by ‘Red Madog’ – a band who were home grown in Bucknell and play original music blending folk, blues and world influences, just before handing over to the incredible Blaze Firewalk as the sun was setting.
Entertainment resumed shortly after as the incredible ‘Blues and Soul Company’ took to the stage. Performing a huge range of material spanning the decades, they got everyone on their feet, singing along and dancing for the remainder of the evening.

“Excellent entertainment, great food (WI coffee cake was fab as were the Rotary burgers!) And interesting stalls. The atmosphere was fun and the evening firewalk and music rounded it off with gusto. We enjoyed it all immensely, fun days out locally are so wonderful.. great work and thanks again!”
“It was a great day, I really enjoyed it! The dogs show and the axe men display (which I had front row seats to as my stall was right by the ring!) were great to watch. Had fun and meet lots of lovely people and their dogs. I can’t wait to do it again next year!”
